Data Protection Statement for User Registration .

The Open CV Database needs to process data about you in order to carry out its normal administration. That is we collect, store, use and disclose the data for any purposes connected with your usage, your health and safety and for other legitimate reasons.


For example, this may include supplying relevant data to the and in due course to the Membership Relations Office to form part of the Membership database. In addition, information such as your e-mail address may be published by your location Manager or on the CV Database website. The details of your presentation (e.g., career aims and industry) are regarded as public information and will be published on open pass lists and may be released to third parties such as newspapers and prospective users.


 To comply with statutory and government requirements we must provide data (which may include contact details) to other organisations such as Police Authorities.


When you register with the Open CV Database you will be giving us permission to process data about you. Registration provides you with an opportunity to see some basic personal data held about you and to correct inaccuracies. If you do not register and give your consent to this processing, the open cv database may not be able to accept you as a member.
When you register we ask you to give details for an Emergency Contact. This data will be used or disclosed only in case of emergency. Please note that you must ensure that the contact is notified of the disclosure of their details to the open cv database.


If the whole or part of your programme is undertaken at an institution other than the open cv database (whether or not it is based outside of the European Economic Area), relevant personal data may be supplied to the institution providing all or part of the programme to enable it to carry out its normal administration.


If your fees are paid by a third party, such as a parent, spouse, or employer, the open cv database is unable to disclose any personal data to such third parties without your express permission. If you are under 18 years of age you consent to the open cv database advising your parents as to the amount and nature of any debts you owe to the open cv database from time to time.
